Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad '3700' class 4-8-2s Nos 3721 (pilot) and 3737 (train). Built by Baldwin circa 1920 as a class of 51 locomotives, all withdrawn by 1955.

Roaring eastbound past the LaVerne Orange Association building in September 1936, the double-headed combo of 3721 and 3737 are at the junction of East Street and Arrow Highway in La Verne, California. La Verne is about 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
