Peter Kerslake writes "4959 Purley Hall, a Bristol Bath Road allocated engine photographed from the road overlooking Penzance station as it backs out with a rake of recently arrived coaching stock for the carriage sidings at Long Rock visible in the distance. Note the boulders protecting the line from the sea in Mounts Bay. St. Michael's Mount is just out of shot on the right. The engine had arrived earlier that day, but whether or not it had worked right through from Bristol I cannot say."
