On a down Paddington-Paignton

It's a very busy Whitsun Saturday and one of Newton Abbots's stalwarts does a job usually reserved for a "Castle" as 5920, "Wycliffe Hall " runs for home just after three in the afternoon with a relief express all the way from Paddington here on the sea wall at Teignmouth .
I recall that every express which I saw working this day carried a Reporting Number such was the volume of rail traffic in order to aid the signalmen in identifying each train
