Black liveried SR Schools 4-4-0 No 30919 Harrow wirh a Waterloo-Lymington train approaching Lymington Jct on 4 June 1960.

This is the Brighton - Bournemoth service. The Waterloo - Lymington services changed locos at Brockenhurst for something lighter than a Schools, usually a Q or Q1. The Schools was turned on the Brockenhurst 50ft turntable and they were the largest locos that could fit it. U class 2-6-0s and BR4 2-6-0s were also used as necessary.
