Richard Lightbown says "Looks like a Ryde train leaving Havenstreet station. No 22 'Brading' is one of two locomotives fitted with a Drummond boiler, with the safety valve located under the dome. 31 Chale was the other locomotive with a Drummond boiler at this time. (The boilers were overhauled at Eastleigh works so a spare Adams boiler was substituted and the Drummond boiler was put in another locomotive on its return to the Isle of Wight. 18 Ningwood previously had this boiler. I would guess that it was given to No 22 sometime about 1963.)"
