Gloucester Central, with a stopping train from Hereford via Ross-on-Wye and Grange Court
View towards Grange Court and South Wales. The 2.25pm from Hereford has arrived with Collett-design '2251' class 0-6-0 No. 3203 (built 10/46, withdrawn 12/63).

Peter Kerslake adds "Looking down to South Wales this view shows the through roads located here at Gloucester Central, those tracks taking the continuous stream of freight workings down to, and back from Wales, with iron ore for the steel factories heading down from the East Midlands to the furnaces in Wales, whilst coal traffic came eastwards.
This massive footbridge not only linked the two platforms here at Central but ran far over to the left providing access to and from the Midland Region station at Eastgate.
Whilst Central station survived, Eastgate did not!"
