2232 1957c Black Rock Sands Criccieth

Peter Kerslake says "A splendid view of 2232 as she heads past a stormy and almost deserted Tremadoc Bay here at Black Rock, to the east of Criccieth, on a westbound passenger duty from Portmadoc (and possibly beyond) making light work on the climb to Criccieth on a rising gradient, at its steepest one in eighty two for a mile or so before reaching Criccieth station itself.
2232 had been a Shrewsbury engine in the mid 'fifties but now was from Machynlleth so could well be working all the way down to Pwllheli from there on this duty and is now in typical Cambrian Coast scenery in all its rugged glory"
