Ex-North Eastern Railway Worsdell 'C' (LNER 'J21') class 0-6-0 No. 65064. Built at Gateshead in October 1890 as NER No. 314 and withdrawn in September 1958.

A fascinating panorama of part of Darlington Works. A couple of unidentifed 'J94' Saddletanks are seen on works pilot duties and a group of tenders are awaiting attention or to be reunited with their locomotives. 65064 appears to be doing a spot of shunting in front of the timber store. Note the new diesel shunter cabs sitting in the yard waiting to be transferred to the rest of the build. The adjacent terrace houses have bedroom windows that would offer a grandstand view for enthusiasts!
