There isn't a high-viz jacket, palisade steel fence nor restrictions of any kind at Wheldrake Station on the occasion of this RCTS visit on Sunday 20th June 1954. Ex-North Eastern Rly. T.W. Worsdell 'J21' 65078 provides the locomotive interest to the 60 or so happy enthusiasts, many of whom would probably be visiting the independent Derwent Valley Light Railway for the first time.
