9003 1950s Penryndeudraeth

GWR 'Dukedog' 4-4-0 No 9003 calls at Penryndeudraeth with a Barmouth to Pwlheli train in the early 1950s while the photographer's wife and their friends watch on.
Peter Kerslake says " Penrhyndeudraeth derived much of its freight traffic from the Cooke's explosives factory located south of the station where the special vans used for the transportation of gunpowder and gelignite destined for use in quarrying and mining were kept in the siding located there."
