GWR 'Dukedog' 4-4-0 No 3217 waits to leave Shrewsbury with an express for Aberystwyth in c1938.
Peter Kerslake says "3217 was built at Swindon using the frames from condemned 'Bulldog' 3425 and the boiler from 'Duke' 3282 Chepstow Castle. 3217 was allocated the name Earl of Berkeley but none of the class after 3214 were named".
