9016 1953-04-04 Bristol Temple Meads

Peter Kerslake says "A Bath Road engine for 18 months from January 1953. There were not many chances of recording a Dukedog at Bristol Temple Meads but our cameraman has captured 9016 running in from the west on a local stopping service. Bristol Bath Road Depot is in the background."
He then follows up with "I see from my earlier note that I state that 9016 was at Bristol Bath Road from January 1953 until about June 1954 so that would explain this picture. What puzzles me, however , is whether it was the only one of the class allocated there and what duties it was generally rostered upon.
In this view 9016 has a single lamp denoting a local stopping service, but has it come up from Weston super Mare or from Taunton or perhaps from the Portishead line I wonder? "
