Peter Kerslake says "This shot shows clearly the Dukedog's footplate and cab details and just how exposed the cab and the crew were to the elements, despite the protective sheeting which has been secured to the cab roof by spring tensioners attached to the cabside handrail and apparently not needed on this run.
9014 was one the last two Dukedogs in service, along with the now preserved 9017."
