9014 1953-06-11 Shrewsbury

Dukedog 4-4-0 No 9014 in the centre road at Shrewsbury station with a goods train off the Cambrian line on June 11, 1953.

Peter Kerslake says "That distinctive water hose which enabled locomotives on the through road to take water must have appeared in countless images from many years past.
9014 has come up from the Cambrian system and heads northwards through Shrewsbury, the engine in company with 9017 being the last two survivors, both being withdrawn in October of 1960, and 9017 making it into preservation.
Serving for 37 years on the Cambrian network 9014 had been built n 1937 from withdrawn 3252 "Duke of Cornwall " and 3434 "Joseph Shaw". "
