9024 1950s Towyn

9024 1950s Towyn

Looking south from Neptune Road bridge towards Aberdovey. The Dukedog is still in GWR livery without a front numberplate unlike the small prairie which is in BR livery. The sign is for Tynyradd Nurseries but they are no longer trading. Between the Tallylyn Railway loading bank siding and the single track main line there is a very long siding ending in a buffer stop in way beyond the last coach. It was used to store coaches only used on Summer Saturdays. On the neg you can read 902x and this has to be 9024; the bogie has a narrow frame and is only one above 9020 to fit. Plain rods. High cab hand rail and low lamp fit with this.
