GWR Dukedog 4-4-0 No 9012 outside Swindon stock shed on 22 April 1956.
Peter Kerslake adds "After their days in service on the Cambrian came to an end a number of Dukedogs were stored within Swindon Works Stock shed whlst alternative work was sought, but apart from 9023 , and possibly 9011 as well, spending a short time working as pilot engines between Newton Abbot and Plymouth in March 1954 their days were at an end. 9012 was not formally withdrawn from Machynlleth until June 1957 but could well be out of service at this date."
