9015 1940s where?

9015 1940s where?

Peter Kerslake says "Constructed at Swindon in October of 1937 by a marriage of the frames of condemned 'Bulldog' 3420 and cab and possibly boiler from 'Duke' 3262 'St. Ives' this view of 3215, renumbered 9015 in early September of 1946, shows the difference in width between tender and footplate, not appreciated by the crews who worked the class in their years of service.
9015 was planned to bear the 'Earl of Clancarty' nameplates but never did so, the nameplates finding their way to newly constructed 'Castle' 5058 instead in September of 1937.
9015 was another of her class which served away from the Cambrian until 1956 when it headed for Phwelli and then Machynlleth following nineteen earlier years housed at Didcot, Winchester (for DN&S services) and Oxford."
