5005 1947-04-15 Kings Lynn

Ex-GNR Class J1 No 5005 approaches Kings Lynn with two coaches on 15th April 1947. The front buffer single lamp is for a light engine or a light engine with no more than two brake vans in tow. Supposedly coaches and brake vans are here being regarded as synonymous. The locomotive was built at Doncaster in 1908 and scrapped at its birthplace in May 1952 by which time it had become BR No 65005.
