An ex-Great Northern Railway Class J1 0-6-0 crossing the bridge over the canalised River Soar just south of Leicester Great Central station with a PW train. All of the class were at Colwick by the end of the war - most were withdrawn within the next few years and pottered around on local trip work. Here No.65009 has ventured as far south as Leicester, and since withdrawal came at the end of March 1952 this is probably one of its last visits there.
