‘AL6’ electric No.E3182 on 29th May 1967 south of Dudley Port on an Up express alongside the Birmingham Canal Main Line. It became No.86245 in April 1974 and carried the name Dudley Castle between 1984 and 1998. A British Railways Mark 1 Restaurant car in the middle spoils the appearance of an otherwise uniform rake of the new Mark II coaches; no Mark II catering vehicles were ever built.
