On a down freight including a container on a well wagon which I have not seen before. Under magnification the wagon appears to be adapted for this purpose. Clive Mortimore says The well wagon is a Lowmac (diagram 2/253) fitted with a cradle for Sealand ISO containers before the Freightliner flats were built and rebuilt with ISO fixings. The only other photo I have seen with one in a train was behind a 9F 2-10-0! David J Hayes adds Yes, an interesting consist, which looks like a block cement working but with the addition of a container and what appears to be a boxed/crate-like object, the latter loaded in an open wagon next to the AL6. As for the service, the letter K would imply that it is destined for the Crewe/Stoke-on-Trent area. The headcode would also indicate that it has started on the London Midland; from Tring, perhaps?
