SE&CR 468 1904 Dulwich

Atop the railway embankment at Dulwich in London, an elegant London, Chatham & Dover Railway designed Kirtley 'M3' 4-4-0 sails gracefully by in 1904 with a 'birdcage' coach heading its train. The twenty-six M3s became South Eastern & Chatham Railway locomotives from 1899 and in whose livery 468 is seen. 468 was built as an SE&CR machine at Longhedge in January 1901 and withdrawn in Aug. 1925.
