LCDR M1 4-4-0 No 25 in c1893 (engine was built 1892). This is one of two very similar photos taken at the same time. The second has the crew on the footplate and the figure to the right slightly obscured by the smokebox. Note the early external passenger communication wire and bell on the tender.
