This was the V2 with the shortest career. It didn't even make its 19th year. To traffic 27/10/43; withdrawn 26/2/62. It was one of the trio first to be withdrawn.
It was photographed at the start of one of David's shcool trips, a mammoth four-day affair down to BR(S) sheds as far south as Bournemouth. 60977 had powered the train from Darlington to York.
