The second vehicle is a slab-sided LMS built Palethorpes Sausage van, probably working back empty to Dudley and which gave the train its local nickname 'The Palethorpe'. The train is heading south out of Stockton, Hartburn East Curve is on the right leading to Bowsfield Junction and then Thornaby.
This was the day of 60103's final service working out of Kings Cross
