This was Flying Scotsman's first outing following restoration and it was taking a Ffestiniog Railway Society special train as far as Ruabon. Here two GWR Manors took it forward to Minffordd.

Returning from Porthmadog at 10.15pm the train ran through a level crossing gate at either Parry Green or, more likely, Plas-y-Court, arriving back at Paddington at 7.22am.
