This was the return leg of Alan Pegler’s special trip laid on for employees at Darlington Works who had been responsible for No 4472’s overhaul. Seven Pullman coaches plus the ex-Devon Belle Observation Car. The train ran from Darlington to Peterborough and back (via Sleaford), on 10th April 1965.
