Ex-Southern Railway Bulleid 'Battle of Britain' class 4-6-2 No. 34069 'Hawkinge'. Built at Brighton in Oct. 1947 as SR No. 21C169 and withdrawn in Nov. 1963. Leaving Dover at Hawkesbury Street Junction in July 1949, 34069 is in early BR hybrid livery. 'Hawkinge' is a town in Kent. that featured a major RAF airfield that played a key role in WW2.
