Robert Waterman says "The picture was taken just past Lymington Junction. He travelled on this service from Waterloo to Bournemouth several times during this year and recognised the coach formation. It was unusual in that there were three dining vehicles (the 3rd/4th/5th) due to the very busy breakfast demand, primarily to Southampton."
