Peter Kerslake says "Allocated to Hereford in the mid 'fifties 1445 is seen here at Tenbury Wells in October of 1960 but she ended her days allocated to Gloucester Horton Road M.P.D., joining a few of her sisters working the Chalford and Sharpness Auto trains until both those services ended on the 31st October 1964, and records show that she was still in service that July.
Following withdrawal that Autumn 1445 was photgraphed by myself on the 27th October 1964 awaiting her fate at Gloucester's former Midland Region Depot at nearby Barnwood which, following closure was used to house both locally withdrawn locomotives together with a number passing through Gloucester from further afield and destined for the South Wales breakers' yards.
