GWR 1661 class 0-6-0ST No 1689 features an extended smokebox and tank prior to being rebuilt with pannier tanks in March 1926. This had returned to the GWR at grouping having been sold to the Cardiff Railway as there No. 25. This is why it has GWR on the number plate.
