70035 1962-10-27 Kings Cross
Peter Kerslake says "70035 Rudyard Kipling was one of seven Britannias to see service from Immmingham where they were warmly welcomed by the footplate men and put to work mainly on Kings Cross to Cleethorpes passenger services in addition to working fast fish and perishables traffic from Grimsby.
Immingham looked after their seven "Britannias" as is apparent in this view and would have been sorry to lose them when in late 1963 the first were transferred to Carlisle Upperby and Kingmoor from where they were withdrawn in late1966 and 1967."
