Substituting for a 14xx on the Chalford service.
Peter Kerslake says "Gloucester Horton Road's shedmaster wuld invaraibly roster one of his little "1400" 0-4-2 tanks on the Chalford services and a number were retained for such duties in addition to working the Sharpness branch as well, but in the last months of those services and as the number of "1400's" remaining operational decreased it was often necessary for one of their Pannier Tanks to be used instead, as shown here with 9453 on a Chalford coach waiting in Gloucester Central station". The coach is also a standard Collett coach and not auto fitted.
