Two photographers have captured Caprotti Class 5 73128 at Gaerwen, between Bangor and Holyhead, with a Down express in the early 1960s. It was at Patricroft from August 1958 until February 1964 and again from April 1964 until withdrawal in May 1968. The signal box on the left is Gaerwen No. 1 which had 20 levers and survives today; Gaerwen No. 2 which was in the ‘V’ the junction closed in December 1966.
