Robert Waterman says "The others were 73030, 73161, 73162 & 73166. So far as I am aware they had the same route availability as the rebuilt Bulleid light pacifics ie, they could go to Plymouth but were banned North Cornwall and North Devon. I've seen photographic evidence of them on the Plymouth road (one was on the Brighton/Portsmouth - Plymouth through train) but not on the other roads."

Phil Ramsay adds "73xxx class allocated to 72A /83D sometimes worked the Brighton Plymouth from Exeter and reverse of that working. In 1964/5 they often had to substitute for failed Warship D8XX Class".
