Caprotti Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No.73140 on a freight passing through Saltley Station. This was a much travelled engine, being transferred ten times during its eleven year working life. It was allocated to Derby at three different times and this picture would have been taken during one of those spells, probably between September 1961 and March 1962 since it was before AWS was fitted in May 1962.
