BR 5MT 4-6-0 No 73094 passes Vauxhall with a Waterloo to Southampton Docks 'Ocen Liner Express' on September 27, 1964.

Robert Waterman adds "Whilst this most definitely appears to be a boat train the headcode suggests it is being routed via the Portsmouth direct line, presumably on diversion for engineering work. The smokebox headcode disc appears to have been chalked on - the loco is not a Southern allocated one and appears to have partially modified lamp brackets for OLE safety - the offset bracket above the buffer beam to line up with the lowered driver's side smokebox bracket appears to be missing. Eastleigh was repairing some LMR locos at this time and this loco was withdrawn in February and then re-instated to Shrewsbury shed in May."
