This Caprotti valve gear BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No.73136 was allocated to Derby from February 1961 until May 1964 when it was transferred to Patricroft. It is passing over the level crossing at the north end of the station alongside which is a classic period advertising hoarding for 'Double Diamond - the beer that men drink'.
