Withdrawn 3rd December 1962 but still coaled, it would be preserved and sent to Stratford in August. The photographer Terry Gregg recalls the day - "The photo was taken during a Warwickshire Railway Society Railtour from Birmingham to York and Darlington on 18th January 1964. It was hauled throughout by 70000 Britannia and the weather was awful with fog and frost for most of the day. This was early afternoon and the frost is still very evident everywhere"
