The Q7s were largely displaced from the Consett trains by the arrival of the 9Fs and were re-deployed on the longer distance heavy freights. The very clean 16T minerals are loaded beyond the normal levels with what appears to be an unusual load, it is August so it cannot be Sugar Beet but what could it be? David believes it is ballast but I am not convinced.
