Shed 1961-09-01 Hunstanton

Hunstanton Depot was a sub shed of the much larger Depot down the line at Kings Lynn , the branch from Kings Lynn to Hunstanton serving the Royal Estate at Sandringham , with its own immaculately kept station at Wolferton , mid way between Kings Lynn and the branch terminus here at Hunstanton.
The staff at Wolferton were used to seeing members of the Royal Family on a regular basis on their visits to Sandringham by way of the line , invariably arriving and departing by the Royal Train and headed by Kings Lynn's " Royal Claud Hamilton " number 62614 which was kept by its home shed staff in pristine condition for such duties.
I visited Hunstanton once whilst at Kings Lynn and the terminus station is behind the photographer.
