Thornton Junction’s Class J83 No 68458, condemned in January 1962 is en-route to Campbell's Shieldhall for scrapping. Seen here at Hurlford in April of that year it was last observed intact in the scrapyard on 29th August 1962. The 62A shedplate was obviously removed and retained in Fife before despatch.
