Running on the Down Slow line at Radlett, the 5.20pm St Pancras - St Albans behind Fowler 2-6-2T 40022 on 30 August 1958. It was built in December 1930 as LMS 15522 and was one of the 40 built in 1930/1 fitted with condensing apparatus for working through the tunnels onto the Metropolitan Widened lines in London. 40022 was allocated to St Albans from July 1947 until February 1960; it was withdrawn from Cricklewood on 13th December 1962 - the last of the class.
