As would be expected from a photograph within Llanelly Motive Power Depot it's Pannier Tanks which dominate the scene , some sixty or so being housed there in its heyday , the Depot having two Roundhouses with its origin dating back to G.W.R. days in 1925, and remaining in service until September of 1965 , exactly forty years later .
The fine array of smoke ventilators would doubtless have kept both this , and the second Roundhouse smoke free , and the light looks pretty good in this view so they must be doing their job , all wooden constructed and clearly maintained in good order !
