Crewe South Stanier 2-6-0 No.42980 heads south at Brinklow in 1950 with what the headlamps describe as a Class H unfitted freight that is rather unusually made up entirely of sheeted merchandise opens. It had been at ‘5B’ since 1941 and gained its BR number in October 1949.
