Richard Greaves Editor Stanier Mogul Fund News says "It may look as if it is on Parcels duty with a GW Siphon leading. In fact I have the forward facing image given to me by the photographer Mr Ken Fairey many years ago who also took your going away image on 26/4/61. The frontal image clearly shows this train as a Class A Headlamp express passenger with a rake of passenger coaches behind the Siphon. It is not a Parcels train".

We have lots of negs taken at Ashton and I wonder if Ken Fairey was ther photographer for them all?
