GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 7029 Clun Castle passes Burlescombe with the 10.30am Paignton-Wolverhampton on 3 September 1960.
Peter Kerslake adds: Who would have foreseen back in 1960 when this photograph was taken what future lay ahead for Newton Abbot's 7029, hence its working an express from the Torbay line. Moved to Old Oak Common and then to Gloucester in October 1964 it was the last Castle in active service, later being preserved and initially based at the Birmingham Railway Museum.
