Midland Railway Johnson ‘1492’ class 2-4-0 No. 281 at Locking Road sidings, Weston-super-Mare circa 1910. Built at Derby in May 1881 as MR No. 1501; re-numbered in 1907 from 1501 to 281. Withdrawn in December 1926 as LMS No. 281. MR and later LMS trains and their locos regularly worked through to Weston in the summers.
