6014 1961-03-25 Beaconsfield

GWR King 4-6-0 No 6014 King Henry VII, still showing evidence of its streamlining (cab and train reporting number bracket) approaches Beaconsfield with the 2.10pm Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside express on March 25, 1961.
Peter Kerslake adds: The unique positioning of the Reporting Number bracket on 6014 dates back to when it was 'Streamllned' - the rounded addition to the smokebox door prevented the usual bracket being retained in its customary position.. A small bracket was fixed to the leading face of the inside valve chest for the Reporting Number and 6014 retained it during the rest of its days.
