BR 7MT 4-6-2 No 70038 Robin Hood on the 4.45pm fish train south of Stirling in c1964.
Peter Kerslake adds "Built at Crewe in January 1953, allocated to Stratford and then to Norwich in the mass transfer of their 'Britannias' to Norwich in January of 1959 'Robin Hood' was sent to March in November 1960 where it remained, not wanted or usefully employed until salvation came in late 1961 when in company with 70036 and 70037 it was sent to Immingham.
Warmly welcomed at Immingham the exiled three joined 70039, 70040, 70041 and 70035, all put to work on the Cleethorpes expresses to Kings Cross, and fish and perishables duties from Grimsby.
This view is from its subsequent transfer to Carlisle Upperby in December of 1963 and before its withdrawal from Carlisle Kingmoor in August of 1967."
